Termite TV is excited to feature the work of Dunu Artists in Residence, Joy Waldinger and Lee Bird at the Termite TV studio at Cherry Street Pier from November 6 – December 28th.
Join us on First Friday November 6th from 5-8pm for the opening of their featured work to meet the artists. Visit termite.org for opportunities to stop by and meet the artists throughout the month.
Throughout the summer of 2026, Joy and Lee produced work on site and in collaboration with the Open Kitchen Sculpture Garden (@theopenkitchensculpturegarden).
Joy created a collaborative mural onsite and hosted a reading of Trash Crab, a lovely children’s story of creativity in service of environmental sustainability.
Lee hosted workshops to create textile art, using dyes and botanical printing techniques. His work centers healing practices and regenerative possibilities.
In the studio, they will feature documentation from their residency alongside original work that showcases their unique practices and approaches to building work inspired and rooted in the natural environment.
