In honor of the 20/20 Photo Festival our collective is hosting an exhibit of photography from our members Anula Shetty, Michael Kuetemeyer and Alan Powell.
In the Immersive Lens: Places of Power & Community Storytelling series, artists Anula Shetty and Michael Kuetemeyer present selected works co-created with community groups. “Villa Africana Colobó Garden” in collaboration with Norris Square Neighborhood Project and “Echoes from the Conch Shell” in collaboration with Reichhold Center/University of the Virgin Islands.
Alan Powell is presenting photography and print works featuring processes of image distortion, image overlay with image manipulation and poetry developed from our Fungus Gardens and previous First Friday workshops.
With a Special Activity for all ages: we will be painting wooden cutouts of monarch butterflies which will then be installed in Las Parcelas garden in West Kensington/Norris Square.
