Termite TV Collective is excited to announce the print version of our Termite TV Toolkit: How to Make a Termite Show.
The Toolkit is meant for teachers and creative facilitators interested in integrating the Termite model of making thematic 30-minute, multivocal shows in which multiple creators uniquely interpret one central theme. into their curriculum.
Termite shows in the past have reflected on themes as malleable as water, consumerism, habits, the war on terror, and others. Show themes are designed to be spacious enough for artists to interpret them uniquely as a means of fostering creative dialogue around pressing social issues. Through individual expression radiating out from common themes, Termite contributors co-create space for idea sharing and collective world-building.
We are interested in hosting this toolkit at your local library, independent bookstores, classrooms, media institutions, community organizing spaces and creative projects who could benefit from an outlined documented process of video and exhibit making that we like to call ‘video jazz.’
We invite you to join us for the release of our Termite TV Toolkit on Friday, December 6th from 6-8:00p : we’ll have copies available for sale and a communal packing station where we’ll pack, stamp, and sort copies to send out to the community.
