El Jardín de La Música y El Espíritu
Scribe Video Center’s North Philadelphia History Festival: John Coletrane Edition
Anula Shetty and Michael Kuetemeyer of Termite TV are working in collaboration with Iris Brown of the Norris Square Neighborhood Project to install a series of augmented reality artworks at Las Parcelas
Garden.
Co-created with local residents, these stories explore Bomba and Plena, two deeply spiritual Afro-Puerto Rican musical traditions born from the need to honor ancestors, survive hardship, and resist colonialism. This installation is part of «Places of Power: Las Parcelas,, a community-based, immersive AR/VR
project by Termite TV.
