About the show: Over 9 weeks, 23 media artists from Termite TV & PhillyCAM created 18 short films reflecting on the theme of \u201cMending.\u201d \u00a0In Termite\u2019s unique \u201ccollage show\u201d format; we collaboratively select a theme, and participating video artists create 1- to 5-minute pieces that relate to the theme. Through this format, we can approach a topic or concept with many different voices and perspectives. \u00a0This Termite methodology has been described as “video jazz” and “cubist television.\u201d The exhibit also features work created in a series of workshops where artists explored the Mending theme through sewing, photo embroidery, and various painting experiences including botanical watercolors, mixing watercolor and oil pastel, and learning to abstract our perspectives through observation and mixed media.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

In this exhibition, artists reframe mending as a profound emotional and spiritual architecture. Through an intimate collection of video art, photography, and tactile mixed media installations, the works on display trace deeply personal journeys through the landscapes of vulnerability, grief, and healing.<\/p>\n
