DESCRIPTION:The Gary Smalls Gallery Project presents: Places of Power \nOn view from November 8\, 2023 – December 29\, 2023 \nOpening Reception: Wednesday\, November 8\, 2023 at 4:00 – 6:30 pm \nFree and Open to the Public  \n\nA project of Termite TV Collective \nPlaces of Power Installation – Villa Africana Colobó Garden and Penny Candy Store \nLead artists: Anula Shetty and Michael Kuetemeyer\nCurator: John Abner \nJoin for a gallery exhibition using Augmented Reality to document community histories in the Hartranft/Fairhill neighborhoods of North Philadelphia and the Villa Africána Colobó in the West Kensington/Norris Square neighborhood. \nAfter the gallery opening at 7 pm Michael Kuetemeyer and Anula Shetty of Termite TV Collective will lead the first of a two-session Augmented Reality (AR) workshop where participants will learn how to use AR as a tool for community storytelling. Wednesday\, November 8 and 15 at 7:00 PM.
