Friday, December 3, 1999 Bus overheating trouble. Stop every 50 miles to fill radiator. Barely make it to Danville. Pull into parking lot of Chinese restaurant in Danville. Gordon meets us. Go to Godfrey's birthday party.

Saturday, December 4, 1999 Walk around Danville and Center College. Screening of Borderlands and Violent for Gordon's colleagues and friends. Record life stories. Guy fixes bus for us - replaces thermometer. Seems to work.

Sunday, December 5, 1999 Breakfast at diner with G. Off to Knoxville. Arrive at night. Off to the left of the interstate as we're approaching Knoxville, a big warehouse on a hill is in flames. Meet at Paul's apartment; he brings us to the U of Tenn. hotels. Load stuff in then we attend faculty holiday party.
